Fees and attendance

The methods@manchester Summer School will be held at The University of Manchester from 26-30 June and 3-7 July 2017. Each course at the school will run for one week. Each course will deliver four days of content to a five-day timetable (Monday afternoon to Friday lunch-time), building on successful methods@manchester and CMIST short-courses given throughout the year.

The course fee is for a single course, and includes 28 hours of face-to-face teaching over 5 days, and lunch on 4 days. It does not include travel and accommodation, or other costs such as optional social events or meals that may be on offer.
Students: £600
University of Manchester Staff: £600
All Other Attendees: £900

We have a small number of bursaries available for University of Manchester PhD Students (reducing the cost of a week-long course to £300) and UK wide PhD Students (reducing the cost of a week-long course to £400).  If you would like to apply for a bursary, please email methods@manchester.ac.uk for an application form.  Bursary applications close on 16 March 2017.

Cancellations

Registrations cancelled less than 20 but more than 10 working days before the event will be refunded 50% of the registration fees. Registrations cancelled less than 10 working days before the event will not be eligible for a refund.

Please note that we reserve the right to cancel courses if unforeseen circumstances arise, or if there are insufficient numbers to run a course. In the unlikely event of a cancellation, you will be given reasonable notice and reimbursed for your course fees (where applicable), or given the option to attend another course on offer.
